Hey frnd, For gettin into IIT programme of 2 year M.Tech, you shld qualify through GATE exam with a minimum percentile (dependes on your department of interest) conducted by one of iits every year. Generally people give GATE in their final year and enter into IITs / IISc. But since GATE score has a validity of 1-year , you can give GATE in your pre-final year also.
