What exactly happens during counselling ? I know i have to fill out the forms , get DD etc... Would I know what course I will be getting by end of that day ?My rank is 937. I know I won't get Comp Sc/EE in IIT Madras. If i don't put those 2 as my top choices and be realistic and just start with Mech as my 1st preference, would that improve my chance of getting mech ?ThanksMoe

i have been  alloted  civil @iitk and filled option 3 ,will i get iitd civil or iit k chemical just above to alloted branch as per choice sheet
