Is the oil engineering in HBTI same as petroleum engineering?

As already explained byShubham ChaudharyOil Technology has nothing to do with petrochemical in HBTI. In terms of placement, Oil technology has a decent
placement with average package close to around 4 lacs p.a.But as you can easily see there are not many big cooking oil companies, so great packages and placements are not to be expected. So you should decide accordingly considering your long term future goals.

P.S.--- The placement for the session 2014-2015 was close to 100% for Oil Technology. Many students were placed in software companies too.
