since cos function is continuous throughout the R ,

we need to check the denominator which must not be zero .

1-cos4x=0 => x=npi/2  , n=integer

so domain = R- { npi/2 | n is an integer }

Hi

the function would be discontinuous at the points that it is not defined

Those points are :

x=npi/2
