IIT Delhi is better than IIT Guwahati...
Mechanical engg contains different working profile....1..Design exploration(tool level or automative) using s/w programming....2. Piping design in process industry … 3. Industrial production...
So, both the branches are equivalent.....

As you are asking for MBA afterwards, than i would like to advice you for IIT D Industrial and production and than MS from MIT Messachussets in Industrial design and process...

After 6 year, result would be better as of now...
