Is biotechnology iit delhi a discipline involving research or more like applied engineering. Also what are the placement and other opportunities and available packages in core and non core jobs. According to the current scenario is their much scope for this branch in India or is it still basically centred around the west ?????

1) Yes you will get in non-core job also like Business anaylist and you will get Core jobs also

2) Biotech is emerging in many ways so go for it if you dont get CSE ECE Mech Aero Civil
