The female gametophyte/ embryo sac at time of fertilisation is 7 celled stage. More precisely ‘7celled 8 nuclei’ stage. 
3 antipodals + 2 synergids + 1 egg cell + 1 central cell = 7 cells
3 nuclei of antipodals+2 nuclei of synergids+1 nucleus of egg cell+2 nuclei of central cell (polar nuclei) = 8 nuclei.
