yes azospirillum is a free living bacteria. it fixes nitrogen through photosynthesis.it involves usages nif genes just as in case of rhizobium or azotobacters.

Azospirillum is a free living bacteria . It is a nitrogen fixing bacteria and also a photosynthetic one and it is also used in paddy fields
