how is key is helpful to us or advantages of key?(taxonomical aids)

Taxonomic key is a method which is used to identify the object and organism in order to place them in related taxonomic level (e.g. family, genus and species).

Let say, you encounter an organism. Now, you will try to observe the features of that organism and finally come to the conclusion that the organism resembles the features of any genus or species.

1- key is besically a taxonomical aids which is base upon the simmilarity and disimmilarity of the groups .
2- it based upon the contrasting charecter of a pair and is called as couplet .
3- each sentence in the key is called as lead
4- this result in acceptance of one and rejection of other .
5- there are diffrent taxonomic keys for diffrent catagory , means 1 for genus , 1 for species ,
