define an insecticide and explain how indiscriminate use of insecticides

As the name suggests insecticide is a chemical that is used to kill insects and it is generally used to prevent attack of insects on plants. Indiscriminate use of insectides on plants should be prevented because excess of insecticides on plants will be difficult to remove during consuming plants which will affect the health of consumer.
