Dear pallavi

use perpendicular distance formula

p1 =|2a|/√(sec2α + cosec2α)

    = |2a|/√1/sin2α cos2α)

     =|asin2α|

p2  =|acos2α|/√(sin2α +cos2α)

      =|acos2α|

 

p1/p2 = tan2α
