summation f(a+k) = 16(2^n -1 ) .......1 
f(x+y) = f(x)*f(y)................2
f(a+1) + f(a+2) +f(a+3) +.......+ f(a+h) = 16(2^n - 1) 
f(a) * f(1) +f(a)*f(2) +..........f(a)*f(n) = 16(2^n -1)..........3 
Take f(a) common
f(1) = 2 
and f(1+1) = f(1)*f(1) = 4 
f(3) = f(2+1) = f(2)*f(1) = 8 
similarly 
f(n) = 2^n 
Put in the equation (3)
f(a) [2^1 +2^2 + 2^3 +.....+2^n] = 16(2^n - 1) 
f(a)[2(2^n -1) /2-1 ] =  16(2^n - 1) 
f(a)[2(2^n -1)] = 16 (2^n -1) 
f(a) = 8 
f(a) = 2^3 = f(3)
so , a = 3
