\sum\frac{1}{n(n+2)} = \sum\frac{2}{n(n+2)} = \frac{1}{2}\sum\frac{1}{n}\frac{1}{n+2}

=\frac{1}{2} * (\frac{1}{1} - \frac{1}{3}+ \frac{1}{2}\frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{3}\frac{1}{5}+ …........)

Now, all terms cancel out except 1 and ½, and since, n = infinity, last term tens to zero.

\Rightarrow\frac{1}{2}* (\frac{1}{1}+ \frac{1}{2})

=\frac{3}{4}
