hello  titas,
according to thomson model, electrons are embeeded  in a atom like seeds in a watermelon. due to this he is able to prove stability and neutrality of an atom.  but when we study dalton model he is able to prove that most of space is empty inside a atom, so he is able to prove thomson model wrong somewhere
that why thomson model is rejected.
so now if we consider dalton model as most of space is empt inside electrons pass straight eithout ant repulsion
so i think you have to study dalon model also and this will clear your al concepts of this chapter and remove confusions
