Dear student

Plants hold chlorophyll; which is a green colored orpiment. Plants in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll and by utilizing carbon dioxide present in the air used to make their own food. This long process is called photosynthesis. By following the process the food is made in the form of carbohydrate; use by plants to live, grow and for reproduction. However, the excess food is kept as starch; found in various parts of the plant. This is why there is no need for a digestive system in plants

Plants do not need a digestive system because they get their energy through photosynthesis and the nutrients they need through their roots. Carnivorous plants live in low-nutrient soils and dissolve bugs to get nutrients. ... Therefore, they don't have actual digestive systems.
