Percentage gain = (540 – 480)*100/540 => 600/54 => 300/27 => 100/9 => 11.11 %Would be the profit percentage for the person selling the article at 540$.

Cost Price=480$
Selling Price=540$
Here,S.P.>C.P.
Therefore, it will be gain
Now,Gain=Selling Price – Cost Price
               =540$ – 480$
               =60$
Gain Percent=(Gain/Cost Price)*100
                   =(60$/480$)*100
                   =0.125*100
                   =1.25%
