in processingcotton, thefirst process isof ginning, in which all thecotton fibresare separated from the seeds. The thirdprocess iscalledcombing, in which thefibre iscleaned, straightened and made into soft, untwisted strands. Then follows theprocessof transformingfibreinto yarn, known as spinning.
