Here, you are expected to name the three effects of electric current meaning that if you have a flow of current, let say in your experimentation, a flow of current is involved, then what effects can be produced by this current. You can consider a wire in which there is flow of current, think of the effects that will be produced due this current. Complete answer: When we say that current is passing through a wire, we mean that there is flow of electrons in that wire. The direction in which the electrons move, the current is in the opposite direction. When the electrons move, they can give some amount of energy to the atoms of the wire which in turn will vibrate faster than their original vibration, eventually, the wire is heated up. This effect is known as the heating effect of electric current. Another effect is called the magnetic effect. Whenever a current is passing through a conducting wire, it produces a magnetic field around itself. If a constant electric current is passing through a conducting wire, the magnetic field around the wire is given by Biot-Savart law. So, due to current, a magnetic field is produced and hence, the magnetic effect. When electricity is passed through conducting liquids, chemical reactions take place and this effect is called the chemical effect of current. This current helps in the oxidation and reduction of components present in the setup. Hence, the three effects of electric current are heating effect, magnetic effect and chemical effect. Note:we have discussed briefly about the effects of current. You need to memorize the effects namely heating effect, magnetic effect and chemical effect. In heating effect, you can take the example of fuse, the fuse when exposed with a large amount of current melts down and breaks the circuit. For magnetic effect, you can remember it by the Biot-Savart law and the chemical effect can be memorized by the concept of electrochemistry.
