I bought a calss 10 iit foundation course book on chemistry.In this book,the history of of periodic table formation is discussed in great detail.Is it very necessary for jee?

No, the history of periodic table in detail is not necessary for jee at all. So dont worry...
Just know in brief about law of triads, octaves etc.. thats it. Dont waste your time byhearting that for JEE..
