sin theta/x = cos theta/y
sin theta/cos theta = x/y
tan theta = x/y
sin theta = x/root(x2+y2) and cos theta = y/root(x2+y2)
sin theta – cos theta = (x-y)/root(x2+y2)

sin theta/x=costheta/y
sin theta/cos theta = x/y
therefore, sin theta=x and cos theta = y

then sin theta-cos theta = x-y/root 1
root 1 because its value is 1 so we asssume
root 1 can be written in trigonometric form that is sin^2a+cos^a=1

so sin theta – cos theta = x-y/root sin^2 theta + cos^2 theta
                                      = x-y/root x^2+y^2
since the valuse of sin and cos in this question above.
