JEE Advanced is the 2nd stage of the IIT-JEE and a common entrance exam for admissions to ISM, Dhanbad and the world-class IITs. Only those candidates who have cleared JEE Main 2015 have the eligibility for appearing for JEE Advanced 2015. From the year 2015, a total of 20 IITs will offer admissions for engineering courses to qualifying candidates in comparison with 16 IITs in the year 2014. Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2015:
Candidates need to clear JEE Main 2015 and be among the top 1.5 lakh candidates to qualify for JEE Advanced 2015
Age Limit: Candidates must be born on/after 1st October 1990. Candidates belonging to categories such as SC/ST/PwD must be born on/after 1st October 1985
Candidates need to fulfill the below-mentioned criteria:
He or she should be within the top 20 percentile (category-wise) of successful candidates in his or her Class 12 (or an equivalent) board exam.
He or she must secure a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (for GEN and OBC-NCL categories) or 70% aggregate marks (for SC/ST/PwD categories) in Class 12 (or an equivalent) board exam.
Total Number of Attempts Allowed for JEE Advanced 2015: Two successive attempts are allowed if candidates fulfill the above-stated eligibility criteria.
Candidates need to register only through online medium
Post online registration, candidates need to submit the examination fee through challan (which is generated during the process of registration) of all State Bank of India’s branches having CBS (Core Banking System).
The examination fee OBC (NCL) and GE male candidates is Rs 2000
For SC/ST/PD male candidates, the examination fee is Rs 1000
Female candidates from all categories do not have to pay any exam fee.
Those candidates who are appearing from Dubai Centre need to pay US$ 220.
