IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology) Allahabad is one of the 20 IIITs established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The institute was set up in 1999 with the aim to provide quality education and training in the field of information technology.
The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes in various specialisations. Admission to the B.Tech programme is done based on marks obtained in JEE Main. The institute also offers admission to M.Tech and PhD programmes through GATE score.
IIIT Allahabad JEE Main Cutoff 2022 will be released by the institute after the declaration of JEE Main 2022 results for both sessions. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for admission. The cutoff marks will vary for different courses and categories.

To secure admission in the undergraduate engineering programmes offered at IIIT Allahabad, applicants need to score at least 165 marks (out of 360) in JEE Mains. Candidates must also score at least 75% marks (or be in the top 20 percentile) in their Class 12th examination.
The minimum rank required for admission to IIIT Allahabad is within the top 3,000 ranks in JEE Mains. The minimum percentile required for IIIT Allahabad is 99.67. Candidates who score within this range will be considered for admission.
JEE Main 2022 cutoffs for IIIT Allahabad will be declared with or after JEE Main 2022 Session 2 results are declared. But last year, for the ECE branch, the opening rank was 5677 and the closing rank was 8674 for a general gender-neutral category. For IT, the opening rank was 451 and the closing rank was 4537. The cutoffs vary for each course and category. Candidates must score above the cutoff marks to be considered for admission.
To get a seat at IIIT Allahabad you need to get more than 99% in JEE Mains exam as the cutoff is very high. If you belong to a General category, then you have slim chances of getting a seat in it but if you belong to other categories then you may have a chance to get a seat.
NIT Trichy has more societies and clubs, and a better fest than IIIT Allahabad. But when it comes to coding culture, IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Delhi, and IIIT Hyderabad are far better than many of the NITs. You should choose a college depending on your preferences and interests.
