BITSAT 2026: Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Admission Test

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is one of India's leading higher-education institutions offering technology, engineering, science and other professional programmes. BITS Pilani is a deemed university and an Institution of Eminence. BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) is a computer-based admission test conducted by BITS Pilani for its Integrated First Degree programmes offered at the Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses for the academic year 2026-27.

The admission process of BITSAT 2026 began on 15^th December, 2025. The official Session 1 application deadline was 19^th March, 2026. The BITSAT exam dates 2026 were 15^th to 16^th April, 2026 for Session 1 and 25^th to 27^th May, 2026 for Session 2. Candidates were required to follow the official BITS admission schedule for application, slot booking, examination and subsequent admission preference submission.

BITSAT Eligibility 2026

Candidates will only be eligible for BITSAT admission, if they satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by BITS Pilani for the 2026-27 admission cycle. The key requirements include:

• Cleared Class 12^th board examination in 2025 or 2026, or will be appearing for the exam in 2026, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects for admission to B.E. and M.Sc. programmes,

• For B. Pharm (Hons) program, students with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 can also apply, subject to the detailed BITSAT-2026 eligibility requirements.

• Obtained at least 60% in each of the required subjects and at least 75% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or Physics, Chemistry and Biology for B.Pharm. candidates),

• Adequate proficiency in English,

• The detailed eligibility conditions, including the rules relating to the year of passing Class 12 and required subjects, must be checked in the official BITSAT-2026 brochure before applying.

• Students already admitted to a BITS campus should check the official eligibility provisions before attempting BITSAT 2026, as the admission rules applicable to existing students may differ.

• BITSAT admission offers a Direct Admission scheme for eligible board toppers. For 2026, the first-rank holder in a state or central board examination in India may be considered for direct admission to the programme of choice, subject to the applicable BITS eligibility criteria.
