Study material also plays a crucial role while preparing for NEET 2022. The books that you choose for studying Physics, Chemistry and Biology topics will decide the level of your preparation for the NEET exam.
Our experts recommend that first you should focus on the NCERT textbooks for Class 11 and Class 12 and master all the concepts from these books that are given in the NEET syllabus.
NCERT books will help you understand the basic concepts properly. Their easy-to-understand language and comprehensive explanations help students in mastering the topic.
However, only NCERT books will not suffice in order to get good rank.
You can follow our askIITians modules. It has lots of practice questions as well along with theoretical part.
You can also get some reference books like Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma, DC Pandey Physics for NEET and Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker for NEET 2022 Physics.
For NEET 2022 Chemistry, books like Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern and Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee will be the best.
Lastly, for NEET 2022 Biology, you can study from Biology Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Trueman, Objective Biology by Dinesh or Objective Botany by Ansari.
You can find the complete list of the best books for NEET 2022 on the askIITians website.
Success doesn't come all of a sudden. You have to work for it in a systematic way. So, if you want to succeed in NEET 2022, you must create a study schedule for every day. This study schedule should include when you will study for NEET, how many hours you will dedicate to NEET preparation and how you will manage your time for all other activities.
Before you create your schedule, you must keep the following things in mind:
Study for at least 2-3 hours every day for NEET 2022 on the weekdays. This is because you also have to attend school during the weekdays and you must not burden yourself. In those 2-3 hours, make sure to revise some topics and practice a few questions.
During the weekends or on holidays, you can study at least for 8 hours for NEET 2022 preparation. You must plan those 8 hours in such a way that you get time to
If you are in 11th grade, start practicing minimum 30 mcqs daily. And 6 hrs per week study is fine which should be NEET specific.
If you are in 12th grade, minimum 50 mcqs practice must be done daily with minimum 10 hrs of NEET based study weekly.
You know that the Biology section will include 100 questions while Physics and Chemistry sections will include 50 questions each. So, it is important for you to focus more on Biology topics. Topics like human physiology, plant physiology, reproduction, genetics, and ecology are important for NEET Biology.
NEET Physics is always the toughest section for PCB students as it includes lengthy calculations that often confuse students. There when it comes to physics you need to focus more on formula and numerical solving. You need to work on improving your problem-solving speed and accuracy.
Chemistry in the NEET exam would seem easy if you have thoroughly studied the NCERT concepts. However, you need to practice the nomenclature, IUPAC names, structure and properties of various elements in Chemistry. Do not take this section lightly as it can help in increasing your overall score.
Your notes are your assets. They not only help you memorise a topic better but play a great role in revision. Many students get overwhelmed just by looking at the textbooks. But, if they have their chapter-wise notes, they can easily revise the whole book without panicking. One thing that you must ensure is that your notes should be organised. They should not include heavy paragraphs, but tables, illustrations, drawings or short sentences that can help you revise the concept quickly yet completely.
There are various note-taking methods to choose from:
1. Cornell Method - You divide the page into three sections - Notes, Cues, Summary. Notes include short points that you study from the chapter, cues include important formulas/keywords/diagrams/ important questions and summary section includes the main points.
2. Mapping Method - It helps you visualise the information about a topic in a systematic way. Generally, you place the main topic in the centre and branch out subtopics. It looks like a mind map/bar chart.
3. Outline Method: You must be familiar with this one. In this method, you take notes topic-wise and keep adding points related to one topic after another.
4. Charting Method: If you want to make relationships or compare two or more topics, you can use this method. Here, you create a table to describe the topics simultaneously.

The last tip for NEET 2022 preparation is to practise previous year question papers and mock tests. Solving previous year questions helps you in understanding the level of your preparation. It gives you an idea how the NEET examination would be in reality. Moreover, it makes you familiar with the types of questions that are asked in NEET.
Solving mock tests helps in enhancing your problem-solving speed, accuracy and makes you familiar with the exam environment. It increases your confidence level and helps you identify your areas of improvement.
A few things to consider when solving previous year papers/ mock tests:
These 7 tips sum up how to prepare for NEET 2022. Understanding the exam pattern and syllabus is a must for every student. The level of your preparation will depend on your study material and the implementation of your study schedule. If you fail in anyone, the other thing will also lose its value. In other words, if you have the best books for NEET but you are not dedicated to studying regularly, you will never be able to crack NEET and vice-versa.
