write K C FOR the EQUILIBRIUM reaction CH 3 COOC 2 H 5 [aq]+H 2 O[l]= CH 3 COOH[aq]+C 2 H 5 OH[aq] active mass of pure solid and pure liquid is 1.then why should we include H 2 O.IT SHOULD BE EXCLUDED.plz clear it

including H2O doesn’t affect the qstn. or constant K.
as u have already provided the active masses for pure solid and liquid to be 1.
Therfore, if U write Kc for the following eqn.
it is:
Kc =  [C2H5OH] [CH3COOH]/[CH3COOC2H5]
HERE [h20] = 1
and rest are aqueos not pure liquid.
