We know that the packing fraction for the  hccp is given as :
p.f. = z x Volume of atoms/volume of unit cell
with the relation a = 2r and z = 6 we get ,
p.f. = 0.740 
And hence the void fraction becomes => 1 – 0.740 => 0.26
or 26%
