Vapour pressure is defined as the pressure exerted by the vapours above the liquid surface in equilibrium with the liquid at a given temperature.
With increase in temperature it is found that vapour pressure of liquid increases non-linearly.This is because we know that kinetic energy is the function of temperature which means that as the temperature is increased ,more molecules will have greater kinetic energies and thus they can escape from the surface of liquid to the vapour phase resulting in higher vapour pressure. Thus we can say that more and more molecules will move more energetically and more of them can break free from their neighbours and enter the gas phase, increasing the vapour pressure. So the correct option will be 2.
