what is a polar molecule?

Answers : (1)

Polar molecule is a covalent molecule in which electrons are not shared equally. This is because of different electro negativity of two atoms. This results in accumulation of charges at each atom and gives rise to dipole movement.

Examples include H-Cl( Cl is more electronegative than H and hence Cl acquires partial negative charge while H develops partial positive charge)
