Properties of primary alcohol – 
  1. They give red colour ppt in Victor Meyer Test . 
  2. They do not give ppt in lucas test . 
  3. have less bp than secondary adn tertiary alcohol . 
  4. Highly favoured for SN2 reaction . ( due to less steric hindrance )

also they they give red ppt in VICTOR MAYER TEST
