Reason:
Because the rope always tends to stretch and pull the objects.
Hence the Tension force produced is attractive in nature.
At atomic level, he atoms or molecules tends to have electrostatic force to attract when the atoms and molecules are pressurized to pulled apart and hence Tension is generated.
