A projectile is projected in a plane from origin with intial velocity u vector=u1i+u2j. If acceleration due to gravity is taken along -j, then maximum displacement in x- direction would be 1) 2u1u2/g 2) u1^2/g 3) 4u1u2/g 3) u2^2/g

 U vector=u1 icap+ u2 jcap
So,
u1=u cos theta---------(i)
u2=u sin theta----------(ii)

R=u^2sins2theta/g
R=u^2 2(sin theta x cos theta)/g
R=2 (usin theta x ucos theta )/g
So therefore;
Substituting the value of i and ii in this equation of R we get;
R=2u1u2/g
