A particle is moving along x axis with acceleration a=b(1-t/T) where b and T are constants. The particle at t=0 has zero velocity. Calculate the average velocity between t=0 and the instant when a=0

b(1-t/T) dt a=b(1-t/T)dv/dt = b(1 – t/T)dv =
Integerating both sides,
v = bt – bt^2/2T
{limit from v → 0
and  from t → 0}
we get,
v – 0 = bt – bt^2/2T – 0 – 0
v = bt – bt^2/2T at t=0

Now when a = 0
1 – t/T = 0
t = T
thus,
v = bT – bT^2/2T
  = bT – bT/2
  = bT/2 is the ansr.
