let the mass of rod is M and moment of inertia I = ML2/3

decrese in potential energy = increse in rorational energy

  MgL/2                            =  1/2Iw2

  MgL/2   = 1/2 ML2/3 w2

w2  = 3g/L

w=√3g/L

velocity of end V=Lw

                        =√3gL

                        =√3*10*1

                        =5.47 m/sec
