centre of gravity is the point where the total weight of the body acts where as centrois is the geometric centre of the object.

Centroid can also be termed as the geometrical centre of a body. The centre of mass coincides with the centroid in a body with uniform density. Centre of gravity or then centre of mass is the point where the whole mass of the body is concentrated.

There are two major differences between "center of gravity" and "center of mass":
1) The term "center of gravity" aplies to the bodies with mass and weight, while the term "centroid" applies to plan areas.
2) Center of gravity of a body is the point through which the resultant gravitational force (weight) of the body acts for any orientation of the body while centroid is the point in a plane area such that the moment of the area, about any axis, through that point is zero.
Center of gravity is the point at which a object can be suspended and be in perfect equilibrium

Centroid is the geometrical centre of the body..Centre of gravity is the point on which the gravity acts...(For uniform body centre of gravity=centre of mass)So,we can calculate the centroid for knowng the centre of gravity of a body..

Center of gravity is a point from which the weight of a body or system may be considered to act. In uniform gravity it is the same as the centre of mass.

Centre of gravity of body or system of particles rigidly connected together is that point through which the line of action of the weight of the body always passes from all position of the body. Centroid or centre of area is defined as the point at which the total area of a plane figure such as rectangle, square,traingle, quadrilateral,circle etc.,is assumed to be concentrated.The centroid and centre of gravity are at the same point when the bodies have area only and not weight.

C.G of a body is the point at which the whole weight of a body is supposed to be act or lie. Where as centroid the point through which the entire area of a plane is supposed to act is centroid

Centroid is the geometrical centre of a plane figure or an object, it divides the shape into regions of equal moments whereas COG is the point at which whole weight of body can be applied without changing the equilibrium condition. i.e. the weight of the body can be assumed without causing any change in the behaviour of body. 
The location of Centroid depends on geometry of shape while location of COG depends on the mass distribution.
