As the nuclear charge increases, the positive force attracts the electrons towards the nucleus thus resulting in a smaller atomic size.

As the nuclear charge will increase the size of atom should decrease as the force of attraction batween the electrons and nucleous increases   …...........but this doesn’t happen in every case …........because as the nuclear will increase the atomic no would also increase so will the no of shells
