It depends on the branch you take.ISM is obviously above than NIT’s but if the branch you take is low in ISM than you should take NIT.

The rate of placements varies everywhere, no educational organization can commit hundred percent placement in all branches it is generally 85 to 95% and may be somewhere less than that as well, and an answer for your  WHY – comeon be on reality pedestal and get to know that there is a cut-throat competition in ever organization in every department, and every single organization is striving hard to provide best ever placement to its candidates in order to lay a benchmark,.....i can suggest such names, – Gaya College of Engg, Gaya,..........Lovely Professional Uni, Phagwara,..........BIT Sindri Dhanbad,.......Birla Inst of Tech, Mesra
