yes , the salary package , and iit have some unique value and in case job , then first iit candidate will be preferred , and then nit candidate . 
and that iitian tag have more importance in the life , iit are world known , but some of the top nit are world known , not all .

Hi rahul , iit is that institute where u get all the top most facilities which actually grooms you and help you to become a successful engineer as the required skills are with u . Nits are also a good option bt as compared to iit there u might not get that facilities and about package it is not actually important that u are an iitian or a nitian bt iitian tag helps u out to get your favourite job hope it clears your doubt
