It depends upon your efficiency of work , and the no of hours you are putting in doing the hardwork . 
truely speaking , 1 yr is enough for the jee syllabus , if u will put 5-6 hrs of self study per day , 
otherwise , if u want to go conceptwise , then it will take nearly 1.5 years . 
and if only want to cover the formula , and your concepts are crystal clear in that case the 8-9 month is sufficient , 
SO, IF U HAVE NOT STARTED YET THE PREPARATION , THEN DO START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE . 
AND IN CASE U HAVE ANY KIND OF DOUBT 
KINDLY POST IT IN THE FORUM , WE WILL HAPPY TO HELP U SUITABLY .
