Hi,
Open the brackets inside the root.
You will get 1 + 2tan2x + 2 tanx secx
Tanke one tan2x and write it with 1.
Aplly the identity we will get sec2x. If you see carefully it is making a whole square of secx + tanx .
So the square will eliminate the root.

Now we just have integral of sec(x) + tan(x). Indivaidual integrals are known !
