the choice depend upon you , if u are really intrested in mechanical and hardware part company , then u must have to be suceed. 
so, go ahead and crack jee advanced first , beacuse its not as much simpler , even hard work required to study in iit . 
and after qualifying u have to plan up your career acc to your intrest and choice , 
in each and every field there is sucess if u put all of your energy and hard work .
