If you have a special interest in a subject, you sure can give more time to it keeping in mind that other subjects’ progress doesn’t hamper. Once, you have a command over other subjects too, i.e. when you’ve learnt to manage all the subjects at once, you can do whatever you love, which in your case is advantageous to your preparations, i.e. Maths... It can be a subject of yours where others don’t score much, you can be the one to score merit with ease and interest.
