A defense cannon, located at sea level, fires balls at initial speed u…& The maximum possible range is R at which a pirate ship can be hit by the cannon balls .. However, the cannonballs could go farther (i.e the range will be grater) if the cannon were higher. Why ? Image is attached for better understanding of the question....thank u in advance

in this case the cannon being situated aboe the sea level is a case of higher level to ground projectile which will only change the vertical displacement or maximun height and time of flight but range or horizontal displacement will not change.
in the picture attached the range of the prokectiles are same even though they are launched at different angles is because the angles will be angle A and 90-A . range= u2 sin2A/g. sin2A=sin2(90-A).
