All the three have their own examinations that to get qualify for admission of their respective institutes. BITSAT, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced etc., In order to get into IITs you need to qualify JEE Mains so that the top 1,50,000 candidates are eligible to give JEE Advance. So its a two stage process of selection for IITs. Some deemed institutes may consider JEE Mains or Advanced scores too.
