No,it is not required to give board improvement in all 5 subjects. You can give more than one but not necessarily all five. Time management is very much importan while preparing for both.First give most of the time for studying board and then gradually start reading jee. Bacause understanding board is the pillar for success in JEE. If you dont understand board then it is meaningless to prepare for JEE.
