Some good engineering colleges other than IIT and NIT in india are : SRM university, BITS, VIT, IIIT, IISER, Amity, IISc, Manipal university, NIIT, Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham university, Amrita School of Engineering, Lovely Professional University. These are few best colleges in india.

I would suggest few colleges like M.S Ramaiyah, KNS Amity, UPES Dehradoon, Techno point Kolkata, jadavpur university, Reva institute of technology. If you are looking for good growth and good placement then i would suggest you to go for UPES Dehradoon for core sector programmes like petroleum engineering, aerospace engineering, Power System Engineering and lots more specialized programs. There is a dearth of engineers while the opportunities are replete, so this makes a room for less competition and more growth and hence you can juice out a good package. So you have plenty of options but choose what suits you the best.
