@ harini
i am giving u the steps on how to determine the coordination no . of a perticular compound ,
coordination no means no . of atoms / ions / molecule that the central atom holds as the nearest neighbour .
so, simply u need to calculate that
for example in complex {Mo(CN)8] ^4-
HERE , the central metal ion MO link with 8 cyanide ion , so, it have a coordination no 8
anathor example
[Pt(NH3)4 ] ^2+
here Pt linked with 4 nh3 molecule ,
so, coordination no will be 4 .
HOPE U CAN DO THIS QUES ON THE SAME WAY
if not , then let me know ,

@umakant biswal  The complexes that i mentioned are little bit quirky because Mn2(C0)8 is not surrounded by 8 carbonyl ligands.. Dimanganese decacarbonylthere is a bridged Mn-Mn bond..so we couldnt follow the ordinary method. same in the case of Co2(CO)8..so tell me now how to find their co ordiantion number..obviously we cant simply say by looking at its structure and seeing how many no: ligands attached to the central metal ion, right?
