If the positive charge is kept before positively charged conductor, then the potential of conductor doesn’t change because of the fact that, the net charge is same as before.The point of enquiry is potential of conductor, that depends on the charge which the conductor holda and its shape(which decides the orientation). Hence, it remains unchanged.

Potential is connected to quantity in the same way as pressure to quantity of fluid or temperature to quantity of fluid.When two conductors of different potentials are joined together then charge continues to flow from conductor of high potential to that of low potential until potential of both the conductors become equal.
According to ‘Modern Electronic Theory’ positive charge does not flow from high to low potential but the electronf flow from high potential to the low potential.
No, charge will not flow.....
