to find f(y), substitute y value = x+2/x-1 in place of x of f(x)
 
So, f(y) = [(x+2/x-1) + 2] /[(x+2/x-1)-1] = x
 
So the answer is “C”
 
f(x) is not defined for x = 1,   – “D” is not correct answer
