Flux is given by E.A =EA\cos \theta\hat{}\hat{n} where \hat{n} points isarea vector pointing away from surface.In this question at point A whic is a diametric point, at surface near A electricfflus is -EA as \hat{n} is in opposite direction to E and at farther surface it is EA. Therefore  total flux due to A is 0. Similar is the  case with point  C. But  at point B and D there is only  one  surface to allow electric field to pass through. Therefore due to B and D flux is -EA (non zero). Hence, flux remains unchanged due to A and C only.
