Rationalize it first:
[1+2i / 1+i ]n
 
=> (1+2i)*(1-i)/(1-i^2)
=> [(i +3)/2]^n
Put n=+_1, +_2,+_3,+_4,....
and get,
3/2 +i/2 ,3/5 – i/5 , 2+3i/2 , 8/25 – 6i /25, 9/4 +13i/4, 18/125 – 26i/125, 7/4+ 6i , 28/625 – 9i/625
